  TCDF's Executive Director attended 'The ReStructure Conference', hosted by Founder and Principal Consultant, Betty Ferreira of Restructure Non-Profit Consulting. The theme of the day was based around helping non-profit organizations to proactively manage and build capacity during these difficult economic times; Numerous guest speakers and non-profit leaders were on hand to speak about 'Resturcting Your Non-Profit; tips, resources and strategies'; Frameworks and Best Practices for Collaboration and Shared Services and Spaces', among other important subjects.

• July 12, 2009 - Article from The Toronto Star  by Kevin Donovan 'Ottawa targets rogue charities'. The article  speaks about 'tough new guidelines in wake of Star expose make it easier to revoke charitable status.'
